Summary:
Navteq’s R&D organization has an immediate need for a Senior QA Engineer to work within the Navteq Test Team. This candidate will provide automated test capabilities as part the team responsible for quality assurance, and be able to provide hands-on testing as needed. This is an excellent opportunity to work with an energetic and dedicated team that values the role Automated Testing plays in ensuring the success of the company. He/she will be familiar with development/testing best practices and will be required to test, analyze, and provide solutions to operational and performance problems. The candidate will:
Responsibilities:
· Have experience in software development life-cycle, including development activities
· Have experience testing n-tier online services and/or applications using:
o Black-Box / Glass Box methodologies
o White Box methodologies
o Load & stress / scalability analysis
· Perform test coverage and gap analysis of test plans
· Work with development to define and design software systems that are suited to automated testing.
· Work with development to triage existing bugs and ensure that bugs, enhancements, and change requests follow the established lifecycle.
· Manage lifecycle exceptions to minimize risk and address company needs.
· Have excellent analytical, interpersonal, and communication skills.
· Have strong understanding of Software Quality Assurance policies and procedures.
